Open to the right IT or security opportunity

Tier 2 IT support · Security operations

I document the fix,not just the ticket.

I'm Eddie Perry, a Tier 2 help desk technician and former first responder in Ankeny, Iowa. I bring calm triage, clear communication, and practical systems thinking to support and junior security work.

Tenant onboarding control system

Built for a live team

A 3,000-record onboarding pipeline needed a reliable way to show readiness, blockers, ownership, and the next useful action.

I designed a shared Excel workflow with team assignments, formula-driven checks, duplicate review, source reconciliation, exception queues, and five focused dashboard views. The system makes handoffs clearer without exposing customer information.

Situation
High-volume onboarding with fragmented status signals.
Response
Reconcile → validate → route → document.
Operational value
Focused queues, visible blockers, and cleaner handoffs.

The path into technical operations.

Production support is the current chapter. Emergency response and customer operations explain how I work when the situation is not yet clear.

  1. Tier 2 Help Desk Technician

ICS Advanced Technologies · Robert Half contract

Production support across Windows, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Excel, Calix, MikroTik WinBox, Reactor, and SolarWinds. I troubleshoot, escalate, document, and improve the workflow around recurring issues.

  2. Firefighter and EMT

Granger Fire and EMS · Delaware Township

Incident triage, multi-agency coordination, equipment readiness, and structured run documentation. The tools changed when I moved into IT. The operating habits did not.

  3. Customer support and operations leadership

Wireless · project operations · logistics

Seven years translating technical problems into plain language, managing concurrent work, finding process gaps, and keeping customers informed through resolution.

Tools, with context.

Production experience and lab practice are labeled separately. No inflated proficiency bars.

The Digital Firefighter

I write plain-language breakdowns of confusing digital incidents: what happened, why it matters, and what I would check first. Technical work is only useful when the next person can understand it.

Let's talk about the work.

I'm open to conversations about IT support, systems, SOC Tier 1, and junior security roles in Central Iowa or remote.
